GAIN23 is the annual conference and talent fair of the German Academic International Network. It is the largest gathering of German universities, funding agencies and scientists abroad. Please join over 500 postdocs, scientists and experts from various research areas and gain access to information about career paths and funding opportunities in Germany. More than 80 German universities, research institutions, companies, and funding agencies can offer jobs and support as well as provide valuable insights and best practices at our talent fair and workshops.

Personalize and optimize your GAIN23 experience before it starts! Sign in, upload your CV, LinkedIn profile, and share your research background so that you can be matched with the right candidates and institutions. Use the matchmaking functions to schedule meetings with the pros! Make appointments for individual consultations, CV Check, business experts, and politicians, and reserve a spot at a lunch table hosted by your institution of interest. GAIN23 Annual Conference and Talent Fair

GAIN organizes an annual conference at which internationally mobile scientists from Germany exchange ideas with numerous representatives from the German scientific landscape, politics and industry. The conference consists of panel discussions, interactive workshops and lectures on the international scientific landscape and career opportunities in Germany. At the extensive Talent Fair you can also find out about specific funding and job opportunities in Germany and make contacts with research institutes, scientific organizations and universities.

A series of workshops and lectures will provide advice for individual career development. The focus is on topics such as setting up junior research groups, applying for a professorship, careers in business and in science management as well as strategies for dual career couples and families. Various network receptions complete the program.

The German Academic International Network (GAIN) is a joint initiative of the three major research funding organizations in Germany. With its associated members and cooperation partners, the network covers the entire spectrum of the German research landscape. The GAIN office is located in New York.
